Lucinda McWatt
Lucinda is a Divorce and Family Solicitor in the Family Department based in our Oldham office.
She has been described by clients as understanding and supportive through the whole divorce process and prides herself on her frank and realistic advice.
Lucinda is a member of Resolution, accredited in complex financial and children matters. Resolution supports the development of family lawyers through its national and regional training programmes. They are an organisation with 6500 family lawyers and other professional who are committed to resolving disputes in a non-confrontational way. She is an accredited Resolution specialist and accredited in Complex Financial Provision on Divorce/Dissolution of Civil Partnerships and Children Law. She came in the top three nationally in that round. As a member Lucinda adheres to the Resolution Code of Practice.
Lucinda has extensive experience in dealing with private children law matters such as contact and residence disputes and financial matters arising from divorce and a wide variety of matters which can often be complex
She has extensive experience and deals with matters in a sensitive, constructive and non-confrontational manner, whilst at the same time achieving the best outcome for her clients and their family.
Lucinda has significant advocacy experience and will try and conduct the majority of her own hearings rather than brief barristers for continuity of care and to make her clients feel at ease with the process.
Whilst based at the Oldham office she can see clients at any of our offices which serve Saddleworth, Oldham, Tameside, Failsworth, Chadderton and North Manchester.
She was born in Saddleworth, educated locally and then progressed to study law at Lancaster University qualifying in 2011 with a 2:1 degree. Since graduating her work has focused purely on family law and she has been a member of the team at Pearson since 2017.
