Laura Campbell
Laura is a Litigation Solicitor and part of our bespoke commercial team.
Laura qualified as a Solicitor in 2007 and joined Pearson after running her own successful firm for several years. Laura built a boutique practice, Rainbow Law, based in Uppermill from scratch, bringing to it her extensive commercial experience gained as a Senior Associate at leading law firms, Weightmans and DWF.
Laura specialises in dispute resolution and has extensive experience acting for individuals, businesses, local authorities and insurers in all manner of civil matters from smalls claims right up to the Court of Appeal. She believes that part of her USP is being approachable and being able to explain complex legal issues in plain English.
“I have a strong sense of justice and I like to be right, so if I think we have a strong case I won’t back down but I also won’t shy away from giving realistic advice.”
Laura was involved in a bad a car accident when she was 18 but felt wholly let down by her legal representative and knew she could do a much better job, that’s when she decided to convert to law after completing her English Degree at The University of Manchester. She then completed a Graduate Diploma in Law & Legal Practice Course from Manchester Law School before jumping straight into a commercial training contract.
In her spare time Laura admits to having severe wanderlust and likes to travel with family; with a policy of never visiting the same place twice – recent trips include the Norwegian Fjords, Transylvania, Texas, Bosnia and Sweden.
