Pearson Solicitors acknowledged for excellent client care
Pearson Solicitors are celebrating after receiving a pat on the back and acknowledgement from official sources that client care, professional standards and training young people, are all excellent across the firm.
The prestigious Lexcel award has been achieved now for over two decades and 2024 is the 22nd year in a row that the firm has been successful.
What is Lexcel?
Lexcel is an industry standard for law firms set by the Law Society and assesses client care, compliance and practice management. Only practices with the accreditation can advertise such excellent standards. Not all law firms have this badge of honour, but it is something to look out for in legal services.
A professional Lexcel invigilator visits a firm over a week during a rigorous assessment to ensure the law firm meets the stringent criteria of the Law Society. Client files, cases and business management all come under scrutiny and staff are interviewed anonymously as part of the process.
During her assessment, Anne Milne, Lexcel assessor, noted an excellent working culture at Pearson, with people feeling happy and fulfilled, high levels of client care and low levels of complaints.
“Recruitment has been a priority for the firm… They have long used apprenticeship and similar schemes, and growing their own people has resulted in not only excellent staff retention, but developed people who fit into the Pearson way of working and helped them move into more senior positions, including partner roles.”
The assessor added that the firm’s reputation for good standards of client care will in the future help bring in more work from the new offices acquired in Milnrow and others being planned, as the law firm continues to grow and develop.
“It is clear from this assessment that Pearson continues to maintain a sound Lexcel standard,” she added.
