Medical negligence solicitors secure clinical negligence accreditation
High standards in medical negligence work, specialised skills and expertise, have been recognised by The Law Society and two solicitors from Pearson are celebrating top marks in legal excellence with this accreditation.
Accredited Clinical Negligence Solicitors
The Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Accreditation is a recognised quality standard for practitioners representing claimants in clinical negligence matters. Medical Negligence Solicitor and Head of the department, Jacqueline White and Medical Negligence Solicitor Daniel Phelps, have successfully gained clinical negligence accreditation. The accreditation covers cases involving any act of clinical negligence, breach of contract and/or statutory duty.
In order to gain accreditation the pair had to prove they were:
- a claimant solicitor
- a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx)
- have been personally conducting clinical negligence work for claimants for at least three years
- have completed at least 24 clinical negligence cases over the last three years
- had at least six cases taken as far as case management conferences and three cases to meetings of experts
Medical Negligence Solicitors in Oldham and Manchester
The medical negligence team at Pearson Solicitors in Oldham and Manchester has vast experience in a wide range of medical negligence cases, from dispensing and prescription errors, through to successful multi-million-pound cerebral palsy claims.
Commenting on their success, Jacqueline said:
“Being accredited means clients can be assured we have proven competency in this specialised area of the law. We do not act on other cases, or in other areas of the law so we have a wealth of experience and expertise in this area and specialise in giving clients the support they deserve at what is often a challenging time of their life.”
Jacqueline heads up the medical negligence team and is quite used to dealing with multi-million-pound settlements, as well as fighting for her clients' rights in court. With the more complex cases often taking a few years to reach a conclusion she often builds up a good relationship with many of them.
Daniel, who studied for his Legal Practice and Masters in Legal Practice, followed by a training contract at Pearson Solicitor has undertaken a wide variety of cases and managed a series of high value complex medical negligence cases.
Our medical and clinical negligence solicitors have over 60 combined years of experience.
With the accreditation, The Law Society states, “Clinical Negligence Accreditation is a recognised quality standard for practitioners representing claimants in clinical negligence matters.”
Congratulating the pair, Director and Practice Manager, Joanne Ormston said:
“Our medical negligence team goes from strength to strength working with clients from all over the UK and this award is recognition of expertise in this area of the law and the hard work done by the team.”
“We have established solicitors working on complex cerebral palsy and Gentamicin cases, as well as younger solicitors and paralegals working and learning alongside them on prescription and medication errors. I am confident that we will continue to grow and provide clients with a professional and compassionate service getting them the medical negligence compensation they deserve.”
