Deals Hotting up During Heatwave Summer at Pearson Solicitors

It’s been a summer of successful deals for the corporate team at Pearson Solicitors, who have recently completed the third acquisition in quick succession for award-winning telecoms and IT provider, Communicate Better, helping their expansion into new markets as they aim to grow the company and break the £10 million turnover barrier.

Corporate Partner, Keith Kennedy, acted for Communicate Better Holdings Limited in its recent acquisition of Yorkshire based Chilli Telecom Ltd and BE IP Ltd for an undisclosed sum. The sister companies specialise in the supply and installation of traditional telephone systems, maintenance and network services.

Commenting on the deal, Wayne Cartwright, CEO of Communicate Better, said: “We are delighted with this acquisition as it’s the third company that we have targeted this year. All three transactions have completed which is testament to the hard work and due diligence the team have put in.

“It’s a significant achievement completing multiple acquisitions at the same time, all three give us different opportunities to expand the business which is our ultimate strategy and we have doubled the size of our customer base, which is fantastic,” he added.

This deal is the latest in a busy summer for Keith and the corporate team at Pearson Solicitors. Caerphilly-based VCUK Ltd and VCUK Services Ltd, sister companies both trading as Vision Communications, were first acquired by Communicate Better, followed by Pudsey based Telemaxx Limited.

The corporate team’s growing reputation for transactional work has seen them complete the three share acquisitions described above, one share sale, one asset sale, and two share buy backs in the summer period. This follows a busy 2017 and early 2018, during which the team advised on deals ranging in size from £200,000 to £20m.
