A Decade of Success and Growth
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff we are celebrating our best year in business for the year ending 31 March 2022.
Our directors. Christopher Burke, Joanne Ormston and Richard Eastwood report that the firm has increased turnover for the 10th successive year to an all-time high of just over £4.4m, with profits up by 45.09%, the highest increase in a single year.
Conveyancing and Commerical Property Growth
The biggest growth areas for us have been in residential conveyancing and commercial property, with the conveyancing services growing by 76.33% and commercial property reporting 36.92% growth.
We have also recently been awarded the Law Society Lexcel Accreditation for the 20th time in succession. Lexcel is an international practice management standard specifically designed as a framework for legal practices.
As well as taking on several new staff members in the past year we are continuing to expand and have acquired office premises in Saddleworth which is in the process of being renovated. We have also invested in our offices in Oldham, Failsworth and North Manchester and are looking to continue with new appointments across employment, corporate and commercial, private client and medical negligence sectors. “Firm wide our upward growth continues and income has increase by 10.33% which is a huge improvement and a fantastic result,” says Director and Practice Manager, Joanne Ormston.
Our final Income was over £4.4M, our highest ever and we saw improvement across 67% of the firm.
We have bounced back from the pandemic and come out of it working a bit smarter and a bit differently. This has a knock on effect, clients get meetings at their convenience using the technologies available to us and it brings down all our costs which we can pass on and staff appreciate the flexibility.
“We have some really strong solicitors with a wealth of experience and the results are a testament to our hard-working teams, we are all excited for the future. I am pleased that we have added to our Solicitor Apprenticeship scheme as training and development are key to nurturing our teams, many law firms are experiencing recruitment issues hence our internal development strategy.
Strong areas for the law firm are contentious probate, landlord and tenant work, corporate and commercial and of course property. Having financial advisers working with us is the icing on the cake for many clients who need all round advice,” added Joanne
“The directors are conscious of uncertain economic conditions in the forthcoming months and currently attempting to control expenses so that clients benefit in terms of keeping our prices under control, however, these excellent results are a platform on which we can continue to grow,” added Joanne Ormston.
