INSIGHT: A Date in the Diary for all Professional Networkers in Oldham
Calling all professional businesses in Oldham, following on from a very successful launch in the summer the Professional Oldham group is hosting a second get together at one of Oldham’s hidden gems.
St Georges Chapel on George Street is the perfect venue for business meetings and events, but has remained something of a mystery since it was reopened thanks to lottery funding and a lot of effort by Age UK.
Now it is opening its doors for the next meeting of Professional Oldham on Thursday October 13th at 6pm. Local fayre will be served, guests will have the chance to tour the downstairs back-to-back rooms, view the recreated school room and a typical washday in Oldham, thanks to Age UK. Limetree PR who celebrate 10 years in business this month are sponsoring the evening and company director Bridget Batty will be sharing her skills on the night.
Professional Oldham is a quarterly networking group of like-minded local business owners, professionals and consultants. With no pressure for referrals or sales it is simply a chance to swap stories about business in the area and chat with like-minded professionals. The group is partnered with the Oldham Business Edge magazine published by the Oldham Evening Chronicle.
Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers are supporters and co-founders of the group. Business Development Manager, Suzanne Wright, said: "There is a need for Professional Oldham in the town, as an Oldhamer who returned to work locally a number of years ago I’m excited to see some of the heart coming back to the town centre.
“We need to harness this enthusiasm and shout loud and proud that it is the place to do business and the quality of businesses we have in Professional Oldham exemplify this.
"The events are being held quarterly, so there will be no onerous commitments for anyone to attend weekly or monthly and the feedback from our launch in July was that people want quality professional networking in Oldham and that’s what we aim to provide.”
