We are looking for a Law, CILEX Graduate or a candidate with A-Level qualifications to work within our busy litigation department. The department is based at our North Manchester office and benefits from free onsite parking.

This is a permanent position with the possibility of working towards a Paralegal role with the firm. We offer a competitive salary and provide an extensive list of staff benefits.

Requirements of the role:

  • Managing and executing administrative tasks associated with inbound legal enquiries which will involve handling incoming calls and emails.
  • Taking notes of calls from clients and accurately entering them into a CRM system to update client records
  • Providing support for the administration of legal cases involving all documentation management including preparing court bundles, processing dictation, drafting client correspondence under the supervision of solicitors and/or litigation managers
  • Ensuring accurate and timely communication with clients

Role Overview

The Employment Law Paralegal will provide essential support to our Employment team, dealing with a wide range of employment law matters. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, including involvement in complex group litigation claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employment Law Support
    • Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and statements.
    • Liaise with clients, experts, barristers, and third parties.
    • Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and handle telephone inquiries.
    • Perform general office administration, such as writing letters, billing, and time recording.
    • Conduct legal research into niche employment law areas.
    • Manage and update databases accurately and efficiently.
  • Group Litigation Claims (Full Training Provided)
    • Communicate with claimants, providing initial advice and updates.
    • Maintain detailed and accurate records using Excel spreadsheets.
    • Assist with ACAS early conciliation processes.
    • Prepare and file claims with the Employment Tribunal.
    • Liaise with administrators and the Redundancy Payments Office.
