What do people say about working at Pearson Solicitors?
I only joined you as a locum for three months, so the fact that I stayed almost five years is a testament to the way Pearson operates as a firm. I felt like a valued member of a team in no time at all! Several lasting friendships have been made. Joanne Graham Family Law Solicitor in Manchester
In the 12 months I have been working with the firm, I can say without reservation that it is the best company I have worked for. Not only did the partners and my colleagues welcome me with open arms following a team move when I started but it is truly rooted in its community and genuinely cares about its people. There are lots of firms who put out statements and comments about their “culture”, “corporate social responsibility” and “work-life balance” but I can say without reservation that the firm lives its value everyday of creating a friendly, professional and caring environment to work in. In turn, its clients feel confident and reassured that they are going to get an excellent service with a personal touch. There is a genuine opportunity to grow and develop as a fee earner here. There is a true balance of autonomy coupled with supervision and genuine open door policy where you need it from experienced and expert partners and management team. Where employees go through a difficult time or fall on ill-health – the firm rallies around them rather than seeing them as a burden or number on a spreadsheet. The sense of camaraderie between colleagues is second to none and that is reflected in the minimal turnover of staff and considerable number of colleagues who have worked here for decades. If you want a work environment without egos and outdated hierarchy, but one team pulling in the same direction and looking out for one another whilst getting the best results for its clients, then Pearson is the place to work. I will always look back fondly at my time with the firm and I have made a number of friends at the firm which will survive them no longer being my colleagues. I have really enjoyed my time as an employee at Pearson Solicitors. The partners are extremely fair and approachable. The other employees are warm and welcoming, and I felt a part of the Pearson team immediately upon commencing my role. During my time at the firm, I moved to Leeds, but I was allowed lots of flexibility around working from home and I was trusted to manage my cases and my diary my own way, providing my targets were met. When I started at the firm, I was newly qualified, and I lacked in confidence. Since being here I believe that I have grown and developed not only in confidence but also in ability and I feel that Pearson Solicitors have given me the tools and the opportunities to do so. It has been a pleasure being an employee at the firm and I am extremely grateful to the Partners for the opportunities and if it wasn’t but for me going travelling, I would have liked to continue with the firm.
